Adding transitions

A transition is optional text that provides new or additional information about the situation described in the item introduction. The transition may introduce a new twist to the item or a new case to consider.

The transition appears between main Parts. A transition should pertain only to the Part that follows it.

To add a transition:

  1. Right-click above the Part that the transition will describe and select Insert before > part > transition.

Alternatively, if you haven't created the Part yet, right-click within the Part above and select Insert after > part > transition.

  1. [Optional] Click add tagline to enter an informational heading that students see above the transition text.
  2. Enter transition text.
